I love photography and I try to capture the unique, beautiful and sometimes unusual. I started out taking pictures after I graduated from high school, but always had a cheap little Polaroid or a Kodak camera. After moving to Florida back in 1979, I had a Pentax camera, but I didn’t do much photography work, instead I raised two daughters and work and life just got in the way. I began using my cellphone camera years ago and took many, many amazing photos . As cellphone cameras became better and better image quality I really loved how my photos popped. It just been recently that I purchased a Canon and now I find myself taking photos all the time. I have done a lot of sports photos for the local newspaper and I even amazed myself at the action shots I captured.

As for me I grew up in Pennsylvania, outside of Pittsburgh, one of eight children and while I would always do my chores I would head for the hills when I was done. My brother introduced me to nature and I learned to identify many birds, snakes, lizards and the like. Our family always had a menagerie from guines pigs, mice, rabbits, dogs, tropical fish, gerbils and birds. After I moved to Florida I had to learn all the different plants, trees, and critters. Now I want to just go out and take photos in the woods and find new and different plants and animals.
